Today, a very high value is placed on convenience. We have a lot to do every single day and products or services that make our lives run a little smoother are increasingly more common. As the cold months approach, flower delivery in NYC is beginni
ng to look more and more enticing as the degrees drop lower & lower. For corporate office workers, enjoy the luxury of weekly flower delivery during NYC winter months

Cold Outside, Warmth Inside with Weekly Flower Delivery in NYC
For many of us, as lunchtime approaches we make our way outside to eat in a nearby park or sitting area. The fresh air & beauty of nature is refreshing and helps us break up the redundancy of an 8 hour (or more) work day at a computer. As winter comes closer, the desire to sit outside in that setting doesn’t fade, but the reality of sitting in the wet, cold is not something many of us are willing to suffer through.

June 29th, 2012 by Ashley Celebrating Fourth of July with Flowers
Because the Fourth of July is on Wednesday this year, many of us are not enjoying the extended holiday weekends that we had for the past couple
of years. So, to help provide our corporate clients (who are working before and after the holiday next week), with a festive splash of color, the design team at Big Apple Florist has crafted our latest corporate weekly arrangements with a patriotic theme of red, white, and blue!

Everyone starts somewhere – whether you were doing hours of filing, coffee runs, picking up dry cleaning or drafting emails. You mostly likely supported someone when you first started work, and maybe that’s how you ultimately made it to the top of the ladder.
Now that you’re the boss, remember that every great leader has a fabulous support team underneath them.
That’s why Secretary’s Day (which is now knows as Administrative Professional’s week) was created in 1952. The idea was to recognize the importance and value of these support roles in the workplace and encourage more people to become administrative assistants. And so, during the last week of April, we traditionally take the time to appreciate all the hard work our office support staff do to help us each and every day.
Should I Buy Flowers for My Administrative Assistant?
Of course you should! New York City offices today are especially busy, and sometimes it’s hard to stop and smell the roses – or in other words, just say “Thank you!” to that amazing assistant you have in your office. In some cases, office executives lean on their assistants so much that they earn the title “work wife” or “work husband.” If this sounds familiar, it’s in your interest to make sure you pull out all the stops this Administrative Professional’s Week. This has been a weird winter. When we should have been shivering in December, we were holiday shopping in flip flops and spring jackets instead. Nature finally ran its course – the leaves managed to fall off the trees, and the planters and wi
ndow boxes around town have faded to drab, dusty arrangements of leaves and sticks. But now that it’s warm and balmy, wouldn’t you rather see fuzzy green buds on the trees and daffodils shooting up all over? Many of our corporate clients do, and I can’t wait either!
Pansies Help Welcome Springtime in February
One of my clients could not wait for spring flowers, so we took a chance and planted a vibrant rainbow of pansies in her front outdoor planter a few weeks ago to combat the lingering grayness of late winter.

There are certain standard go-to plants that florists and interior designers depend on for simple, clean lines, bold green foliage, and easy no-nonsense maintenance. Corn Plants, Dracaena Marginatas, Snake Plants, Pothos, and Janet Craigs are wonderful, low-maintenance indoor plants that are generous and patient with humans and tolerate the confinement of our stuffy corporate offices and studio apartments.
Sometimes, however, you need a little drama to make your life more exciting. I’ve come across four exciting plants in the past few days that I love, and that don’t always come to mind for New York florists. Try incorporating these green goddesses into your corporate offices and apartments for a little extra flair!

Law Office Flowers with Contemporary Elegance

The Big Apple is home to thousands of practicing attorneys that specialize in diverse areas of law, protecting our rights and supporting all levels of our social strata. Here at Big Apple Florist, we are often called upon to create tasteful corporate flower arrangements and plant decorations for New York City’s law offices.
Corporate flowers for a New York City law office can be an interesting design challenge. Colorful, lively, or energetic decor styles – though welcome in other office settings – may not be the best choice for a law office, where it’s important to express an air of good sense and confidence to clients while at the same time bringing visual diversity and dynamism to the legal professional’s workspace.

I’m already in post-New Year’s mode: I’ve blown all my resolutions of not worrying, not being late, not eating and drinking too much (yes, I am aware that it’s only been a week). Depressed and disgusted last week, I knew I needed help transforming my attitude or it was going to be a long year.
As I entered the store this morning, my day was immediately transformed. One of the first things I saw were buckets and buckets of gorgeous Mozart Calla Lilies destined for delivery to offices all around Manhattan. The focal flower of my own wedding bouquet, those Mozart Callas reminded me of the joyful day that inspired me to become a florist, and I was instantly grateful for my husband and my job. Awesome.

Who wouldn't feel good with an NYC weekly flower delivery of this sunny bouquet?
When I worked in an office, I used to visit the Farmers Market in Union Square every week and treat myself to a bouquet of flowers for my desk. In early spring, there was a farmer from New Jersey selling homegrown tulips with the most wonderful shapes and colors. As I was gazing at those gorgeous tulips one day, a little old lady walked up behind me and said “aren’t those tulips just food for the soul?” That moment stuck with me.
Here at Big Apple Florist, we harbor the philosophy that fresh flowers truly are a necessity for good health and happiness.
AND, there’s science to back us up! Scientists constantly conduct research to understand the health benefits of flowers, and it turns out, there may be a reason why humans have cultivated flowers for over 5,000 years. [Read more →]
